Michael Jackson, the king of pop is Dead!

So, I was on the bus when I saw the morning news. I can't quite see the words flashing on the bus tv but I thought it said "Michael jackson is back". It actually says he's dead. No wonder, they keep showing and talking about him. Anyway, my colleague told me about it at work. Somehow, it just doesn't seem surprising. As, you know, people die everyday. But, I guess, this is Michael Jackson.

I grew up listening to his music. Although, I don't think I'm a better dancer then him but hey, who doesn't know Michael Jackson right?

The whole world knows him and like his music. Although, his last years, the only thing people talked about was how paranoid, confused and weird he is. Somehow, we knew he could have created more good music but instead all we read about him on the news, TV and magazines is negative. The man deserves more. But, I guess, he had a long and illustrious music that will still keep us and generations beyond entertained.

A bit of a shock, I know. I didn't exactly know his age was 50 until now. But, it certainly makes me feel old. Ha ha. Well, I'm almost half his age, maybe that's why. Ha ha.

Michael Jackson, you had kept me entertained all this years with your music and antics. I salute you. You, remind me of my past, my present and my future. Maybe, we'll meet some day in the other world. Who knows. Hope, you'll sing me a tune then. Good bye, have a good rest. You deserve it.

Download music to your ipod

Been busy today downloading my next batch of 30 songs from eMusic. I subscribe for around US$9 per month which gives me the option to download at least 30 songs/mth. Which I then download to my ipod. If you haven't read my past post which I proudly state that I have an 80GB ipod!

I have almost limitless space to fill and bring my music around with me.

I know, some of the younger generations today hate the site because they only have old songs which most of the kids today haven't heard before. But, that's just an excuse.

To me, this is part of life. It's evolution. Without the past, there won't be any future!

So, I think the younger generation today should learn or in this case listen to the old songs or album. It would then inspire then to build on what they have listen or learn from the music of old!

Some, music though, would never grow old. They're everlasting. Think about that.

I do listen to the latest popular music but every time I listen carefully to the music. I don't know, maybe because, during my younger days, I needed to hear it carefully and dissect what chords or notes they were playing. I played guitar in a school band you see so it just became second nature to me. Till now, I tried to figure out which chords or notes they used whenever I listen to music being played. I don't have perfect pitch although I read long time ago that you can learn to get perfect pitch. But, it isn't important to me if I got it right any way. It's just something that happen when I listen to music. I think it makes my brain alert to listen to music.

I also read somewhere before that listening to classical music can make you smarter. I haven't tried that yet. But, I do listen to classical music. I preferred, violin and piano concerto.

I think listening to classical music would train your brain muscle as you know classical music is very complex. It's like listening or doing math!

I'm not very good at math, I wish I am though. I also like chess but again, I'm not good at it. Because, it took too much time and thinking. It's just like doing math!

Nowadays, I'm very impatient. I like things to get done fast. Maybe, because it's the internet age. We always want things fast. Cook fast, eat fast and even having fast sex!

Ha ha! I don't know about fast sex but maybe it's true. People nowadays seem to be in a hurry all the time. Maybe, we all are running out of time?

Yeah, doomsday time-a-coming.

If you look back at time you'll realize how far humankind have gone. Watching, old movies. Listening to old music. Wow! Can you imagine it?

What would it be like if we went back in time?

Pretty interesting I say.

Blah blah blah. I've got to go right now. Kind of hungry and I haven't really eaten lunch. It's already almost 4pm.

eMusic.com - 50 FREE music!

The other day, I downloaded winamp mp3 player which includes the ability to download 50 FREE songs from eMusic.com. They offer a 14-days trial subscription that allows you to download 50 songs. You can choose any type of songs and you can keep it even if you cancel your trial subscription!

After perusing the site, I think I'm gonna keep subcripting to their service as they have a good collection of songs and their site is easy to navigate and look for the latest songs. It's pretty cool. Heh since I've got a whole load of space on my Ipod I'll be downloading a lot of songs maybe some from band or singers I haven't even heard of. I just felt its a refreshing change from the Mtv pop-kidie songs you heard every day on the radio. Some of this independant music are pretty good. I know as I keep visiting Cnet: Download.com to search for free music that you don't heard on the radio but you'll certainly like it.

I finish downloading the 50 free songs from eMusic within a few hours. If I keep browsing their collection I know I can't stop myself from downloading more songs. So, I'll just wait for next month to download my next batch of songs.

Yesterday, I also downloaded BitComet.com it's like Kazaa where you can download almost anything for FREE!

I downloaded Free music videos from the site Podtrolis.com it was 889mb and it took me the whole night to download!

When it finish downloaded it was pretty cool watching the videos on my Ipod. Nice.

Of course, be warned that there could be virus lurking behind those suspicious looking free software you're thinking of downloading.

It's much safer to download songs or music videos instead of those with exe. files.

Hehe buying this Ipod open me up to a whole new world of fun and entertainment. I've been downloading and updating my Ipod since the day I bought it and I think I won't be stopping up anytime soon!
