Hey guys,
Check it out!
I'm really having fun with my new M-Vave SMK-25 II midi keyboard. I can use it with Apple GarageBand software, with the MacBook Pro M1 Pro I recently bought. I bought the MacBook Pro to easily edit the photos and videos I took with my Nikon camera.
I tried other DAW but their free version kinda sucks. Makes me wary about the paid version. Some of them don't work with my MIDI keyboard. It was straightforward with GarageBand. I just plug in my SMK-25 and the keyboard works.
I have dabbled with Garageband on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Gold. I even made some music with it by using the virtual instruments available. Now, that I have the MIDI Keyboard, it feels much better with the tactile feel of the keyboard.
I have wanted to learn to play the piano or keyboard for a long time. I also like listening to cool techno music. After getting the MIDI keyboard, I finally bought myself a cheap piano. With a keyboard piano, I don't have to plug into the computer to play.
I've been checking out the synthesizer keyboard and finally got my eye on the Yamaha Modx6+ version with 61 keys. At first, I was torn between the Korg Kross 2 and the Yamaha CK61 which was within my plan budget. When I saw the demo on the Modx6+, I was sold!
The guy doing the promo and demo played the sound I was interested in. That's why I believed that's what I really wanted. The problem is the pricing. In the end, spending more is much better than regretting later. You can always earn back the money. Lol.
I chatted with someone commenting on one of my YouTube videos earlier and he was talking about saving money by selling old physical games he bought. I'm not saying he shouldn't but I always thought it's silly when you talk about saving but end up none the richer.
I re-sell stuff too and used part of the money to get new products. I don't consider it saving. It's just being smart. Getting rid of things you don't want and getting a new one. Money is there to be spent. That doesn't mean you don't save part of it. That's a different matter altogether.
My philosophy is to be free of debt. Besides the daily bills, I don't have any debt. Okay, I still haven't finished paying my phone debt. Ending this June 2025. Just don't get into big debts that are difficult to pay or take too long to settle.
Hoping to get the Yamaha ModX6+ and use it to learn piano and make music. I used to play the guitar in the 80s and make my own music. Stop playing after school. After a long time, I discovered my hands would numb and my fingers hurt. I can't even hold the newspaper or game controller for long.
Imagine dying in games because your fingers are numb and can't move. So far, I don't have a numbness problem while playing the piano. My fingers don't hurt too. Same as typing on this keyboard. My ultimate goal is to be able to make background music for my YouTube videos to avoid copyright!
I can sell my own background music with a license. I know some websites offer that.
