So, yesterday, I decided to buy the Samsung Galaxy S II instead of the iPhone 4S. The reason was, that for 2 days the iPhone 4S was sold out for my country courier. I've heard of Samsung Galaxy S II for awhile now. So, I decided to check out the phone specs and videos online. I think with it's 1.2ghz dual core processor, it's relatively comparable to the iPhone 4S.

One thing I really like about the Samsung Galaxy is the bigger screen size. Put it beside an iPhone 4S and you'll see the difference. You won't realized how beautiful the screen is until you test it out for yourself. In fact, I was in two mind if I should purchase it or the Samsung Galaxy. When the salesgirl informed me that the iPhone 4S was actually out of stock, I made up my mind to get the Samsung instead. And, I'm glad I did.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is smooth, fast, easy to use and as a first time Android phone user, it's all pretty interesting to me. The Android market is getting better and now you have load of apps and games for your phone. I spend the whole night playing around with the phone and started transferring my favorite songs and videos. The full screen videos is vivid with beautiful color and the music is pretty loud too. I love the included earpiece and even use it on this laptop.

I also tried the voice command feature included with the phone. I've downloaded Vlingo but haven't tried it out yet (update: I've tried it and it's awesome!). As, I'm Asian, the phone have some problem with my accent and pronunciation of some words. I think, it's a little different from the iPhone Siri. But, it did manage to call my mom when I say for e.g. "Call, Mak ( Malay for mother)."

It was pretty fun to play around with the voice command feature. Just hope they'll update for the varied Asian accents!

I'm still just getting use to using the phone and you can bet I'll be doing more testing on it. In all, it's a fantastic phone for Internet surfing, watching Youtube videos, games etc. I haven't test out the camera for video recording and taking pictures but that's for another day. For now, enjoy the Samsung Galaxy S II youtube video review. By the way, I got the white version the same as shown on this video. LoL!

I'm pretty perplex by why the police are so heavy handed in trying to disperse the protesters?

Unlike in Tunisia, Egypt or other Arab countries with their 'revolution', the protest are pretty mild and mostly request for economic reform. Not a regime change of any kind. It is a free democratic society right?

Someone, up there are really nervous.. and for what reason?

This could really ignite something out of the people.

It's been some time since the U.S. seen this kind of thing happen.

I'm just wondering what it'll lead to.

iPhone 4S Siri with Asian Accents?

iPhone Siri with Asian Accents?

Ok. My first language isn't English. I don't speak with a British or American accents. I don't even speak Australian. So, I think I'm going to have a little trouble in trying to get Siri to understand me!

I've read somewhere that Siri suppose to be able to learn the way you speak and improve on it's understanding of the owner way of talking. So, I hope I'll be able to easily dictate an email or sms text using Siri. I don't have the iPhone 4S yet but I'm already joking around with my family pretending to talk to Siri on the iPhone.

Hmm ..maybe, like the video presenter said, I'll have to fake it! LoL!

I think it's the escalation of happening around the world right now. Everywhere, people are not satisfied with what their government is doing. People are out of jobs, money, food and water. Economic downturn, sub prime and generally people that deserve to be jailed or strip off their ill-greed-rotten gotten wealth.

Food for thoughts?

The world need a little change. OK, maybe a lot of change!

First off, I like Scott. He's as cool as Steve Jobs was. How he excitedly demo Siri for the iPhone. Heck, I'll buy anything Steve Jobs demo and this guy makes me wanna buy the iPhone.

I really like the looks of Siri too. I'll definitely buy the 4S just to try out the Siri. Ok, I know there's voice command for Android smartphone too but, like I've said, I'll buy whatever Scott is selling! LoL!

I think you can see where the future is going with the voice command feature. Like the iPad, iTouch and of course the iPhone. You can see how the design for these products are geared without keyboard or mouse.

Soon, people will just use voice command to switch on their tablets, pc, in houses and in cars. Some are already implemented but like the mp3 (for the iPod) revolution by Steve Jobs, you can see with Siri on the iPhone how every company out there is going to follow suit on the voice command technology. Yes, Steve Jobs have done it again!

Just remember you read it on this post today!

Steve Jobs, the founder and former CEO of Apple computers, died this evening at age 56. He had been battling pancreatic cancer for eight years.

Rest in peace my good man. Can't help but feel a little sad for him to go. But, at least he leave Apple Inc. in good shape and in good hands. Long long ago I heard of Apple computer from people I met and they were hardcore Mac user. I didn't really understand why. Until now, I've never owned a Mac although I marvel at the technology, OS and the beautiful design. I have played around with the system though. 

Anyway, as a PC user I felt awkward using it. But, I bought my first Apple product almost 6 years ago. It was an 80GB 5th Gen iPod. I'm still using it today.

Also, bought my first 3G iPhone after watching the demo by Steve Jobs. That's when I started my love affair with the iPhone and the legendary presentation by Steve Jobs. No matter what others say or think of him, I think we should respect the departed and Steve Jobs have done his job the best he could. So, it's final curtain for him right now. Now, it's time for him to have a good long rest.

Apple iPhone 4S Unboxing



Ok. I was planning to get the iPhone 5. Apparently, Apple have other plan. Hmm.. maybe in the next 6 mth? Next yr? No matter, I think I'm gonna get the iPhone 4S. As, I'm already without a 'smartphone' for some time now. Gonna re-contract now to get the 4S and in 2 years times I'll be up for another new iPhone 5S or whatever S there is!

Pre-orders for the device start October 7 and they will be in stores on October 14. The iPhone 4S will come in black and white. A 16GB will cost $199, the 32GB will be $299, and, for the first time, a 64GB version will be $399.

The iPhone 4S will be sold in Apple Stores, as well as AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon Wireless retail outlets. It will be available in 22 more countries by the end of October, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore (YES!), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. Going forward, meanwhile, the iPhone 4 will be $99 and the iPhone 3GS will be free with a two-year contract.

More wars and by the way, it's reported they're trying to stop the Palestinian from asking to be recognize as a state and even threaten to stop aid to them if they go ahead with the plan. Remember, they're cutting of aids to the already suffering Palestinian people which include women and children. Medical supply, foods etc. which the Palestinian need everyday.
