If you want something?

"If you want to have something you have not had before, you need to do something you’ve never done before."

Phew! Last Friday, I went back to JB (Johor Bahru, Malaysia) to visit my father's house. Saturday, morning I followed him in his car to his work place. He work as a cleaner there. So, since I was there, I helped him sweep the roadside. Yeah, I know. Doesn't sound like a holiday, right!?

Well, it depends. I cross the causeway, to forget about my own country singapore. To forget about the life here and feel a "different air" in another country. I can tell you one thing, it's a totally different experience!

I used to go over there frequently. But, nowadays, I'm just either too tired, or too lazy to walk through the whole deal of going through the customs with hundreds others!

That remind me. The other day, as usual, I saw some idiots running towards the custom right after getting down from the bus while holding his child!

If he had trip and fall, what you think will happen? Of course, the child might get hurt too!

I don't understand why singaporean are so "kiasu". Why they can't be a bit patience and relax. They're suppose to go to JB to relax! It's not a competition to see how fast you can get through custom. I know, there are a lot of people and it can be slow and tiring to wait for your turn to pass through custom. But, hey, what's the hurry? Relax, and enjoy the ride!

Sooner or later, you'll get pass through custom, for GOD sake!

Anyway, beside that, I wish the government of these two countries (Singapore, Malaysia) could think of a way to expedite all this hassle of going through custom. For example, until now, I still see a whole line of cars, trucks, motorcyles waiting for their turn to pass through custom checkpoints for hours!

Even the public transport get caught up in the jam and sometime, people just alight from the bus and walk all the way to the checkpoints.

It's always an adventure though for me to go through all this experience. I like to "people-watching". I like travelling to faraway places and watch the scenery. When, I travel in a coach bus, train, car or even aeroplane. I see people sleep through the ride. For me, I can't sleep!

I like watching through the windows and see the world!

When, I'm in an aeroplane, I just love to see the clouds. Felt, as though you're in heaven!

Sometime, it's the little things that truly make your travel a great holiday!

Well then, today is Sunday. And yes, monday beckons...arggg!

That's life....
