My blog (thougths) today..

Okay, I must admit. My gf complained that I didn't update my blog today. That's why I bothered to log in to post a new blog. But, I actually did have something to talk about. First, this past few weeks there had been a couple of earthquakes tremors felt here in my tiny island- country singapore. What perplexed me is that everybody seems to be talking about their experience and felt the tremor but I didn't. Or, maybe I did but didn't really notice. Must have been busy watching the tv or sleeping. It happened a couple of time this past few weeks and I didn't know about it 'till it was in the news. To me, I've always thought singapore is a 'lucky' country. Since, it was founded eons ago by a java prince called "Sang Nila Utama" and then by the british guy named "Sir Stamford Raffles".

A small country that has done well, even better then it's 'big' neighbour Malaysia, Indonesia and other asian countries. Having world class facilities, organizing world class exhibitions, conferences etc etc. But, what's more interesting to note is how lucky for singapore to escape from the devastation of the tsunamis who killed 150,000++ people in a single day. Yes, there's a few singaporean who died when they holidayed in thailand, traveled to Aceh (the worst hit part of indonesia) but that can't compared to the fatality that countries like malaysia, indonesia and sri lanka. This countries had actually geographically protected singapore from the killer waves. If you look at the world map, you would have realized how it was protected. Maybe, it's the will of GOD but truly singapore is lucky. If not, I won't be blogging about it online. Singapore, a country so small that you'll need a magnifying glass to see it on the map. Imagine, what could have been. Singapore, would have been an underwater world.

Singapore is a nice warm, humid weather with a lot of rain. Nice sandy white beaches. Friendly, people (like me !). Sometime, when I watch the news about hurricanes, tornada, tsunamis etc. I realized how lucky I am to be a singaporean. Yeap, I had thought about migrating to other bigger country. But, in the end I prefer to stay put. I hate changes anyway. Blah blah..

P.S. If you haven't yet traveled to singapore. Drop by and enjoy the sun!
