I was wondering if my old Xbox 360 wired controller for pc will work with my Samsung Note 10+. As usual, I link my phone to a portable monitor via the dex pad. I tried playing several games that I already know that have gamepad support like F1 Mobile and Gears.club. It works perfectly!

Some games like COD Mobile do have gamepad support but it doesn't seem to work. I haven't tried it out yet with PUBG. One of the games that do work is Dead Effect 2. Now that's a good game that you can play with a wired or Bluetooth controller.

The Samsung Dex Pad is pretty useful. It comes with an HDMI, USB C for power and 2 USB port. You can use the HDMI port to link up to your portable monitor and the USB port to mouse and keyboard or even a game controller.

Voila! With this setup, you can game with just your phone. The only thing is that there aren't many good android games. Most of them are pay to upgrade or only touch screen control. Although, with the advance phone technology they can practically create a console-level game for it. I keep repeating this, but why create FPS or RPG game without proper gamepad control out of the box?

Hello!? Is there any game dev out there care to explain why? I know, most mobile games are for the casual gamer. But, there is also serious gamer out there that would like a console-level game with gamepad support on their phone. Touch screen control outright sucks. It works for casual games but not for FPS or RPG. Read up on gamer complains for God's sake!

You just have to look at the Nintendo Switch success to realize that portable gaming with a good controller does have markets. And, they have good games too. Not the android crap games with touch screen control. Imagine, a Nintendo Switch with no physical controller. I don't think it would have been successful.

Now, you don't need a computer or laptop anymore. Either for gaming, school or for works. We practically use our phone for all of the above. You take pictures as proof of work and then send it to your boss. You check your email or message on your phone from family and friends.

You read up on the latest news for the day and watch some funny youtube videos. At home, you do the same thing only with a bigger screen. You type better with a keyboard and mouse for easy navigation. But, you're still using your phone, only it's docked to the dex pad.

That's the future of mobile computing and mobile gaming!

This is my Samsung Note 10+ portable gaming and mobile computing setup. In the video, I'm playing a hack and slash android RPG game titled, Restless Dungeon with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. You can download the game on Google play store.

Simple setup and it's all powered by my android phone. The only problem is the game isn't really fully keyboard supported. You still have to click the relevant buttons on the screen to activate the power or main attack mode.

I wish I could just bind the attack mode to the keyboard keys. It would have been much easier playing. If not, I have to keep looking at the bottom right corner to make sure, I click the right button. A couple of times, my mouse pointer wasn't at the right place while playing. It's kinda the same when you're playing with touch screen control.

I think you can also play the game with a gamepad. I was about to test it when my ps4 controller battery went flat. This is just one of the games that I prefer to play because you can play it with a controller or mouse and keyboard. It's also fun to play on a bigger screen like my portable monitor.

If game devs develope console-level android game with a gamepad, mouse and keyboard support. I think portable gaming will totally explode. You don't have to buy expensive gaming pc or laptop anymore. Now, you can work and play with just your phone. Anytime and anywhere!

For now, I prefer my Note 10+ for gaming and mobile computing. Because it has a Samsung dex desktop mode. You can use Samsung dex with a cable link to your monitor or via a dex pad. Now, you can even use Samsung dex on a windows pc or laptop. Way cool!

I loved my S10+ but definitely, don't regret swapping it for my Note 10+. it's bigger and better. And, also I like the S pen. I can take selfies easily with it. Play coloring game. Yes, I do play it sometime. Send a doodle message and more. It's like a Harry Potter magic wand!

Mobile gaming should have evolved by now. With our phone getting more powerful. Console-level game is not impossible. Do it right. Make a great game with gamepad, mouse and keyboard support. Yes, touch screen control caters to casual gaming. But, there are serious gamers out there eager to play with an Xbox or ps4 controller.

Mobile gaming can be big as pc or console gaming!

Here's a look at my Samsung Note 10+ portable gaming and mobile computing setup. With this setup, I can play my favorite android games using a mouse and keyboard. Of course, it's always fun to play with a controller. Granted, the game supports it.

That's the problem with android games. You can't play them with a gamepad right out of the box. You'll have to complain or request on Google play store and even then you'll have to wait quite a while.

I'm not sure why. One time, a game dev requested that I do a video of their latest zombie shooter game. I did a video using this same setup and tried to play with a mouse and keyboard. It works but, not like a real shooter should be. Worse, it's not gamepad support. Bleh!

I was told that gamers will be able to play it online with a mouse and keyboard soon. I don't remember anything about gamepad support though. Talking about gamepad support, F1 mobile racing game now has gamepad support. The console-like racing game is one of my favorite racing games. Awesome!

Okay, everywhere you see now, people talking about Google's latest cloud gaming. Is it any good? I don't know. Nobody is sponsoring me to try it. I'm not paying for games I already have or can get on the cheap on steam. Cool idea nonetheless.

What I really want are new console-like games available on my phone. Games, that can be played on a large phone screen or when I link up my phone to a monitor or Tv. Call of Duty mobile Garena is an example of the latest multiplayer shooter game that should have come with a gamepad, mouse, and keyboard support. Disappointing!

I'm not saying all touch screen control game sucks. Some do have a great feel to it. Albeit without the tactile feedback. But, most gamers come from console gaming with a great history of controller design. So, why insist on just a touch screen game?

My portable gaming setup is an example of what the future of mobile computing is all about. What's more, Samsung had announced its latest Exynos 990 processor coming out and we'll probably have a super new mobile computing device by end of next year. I can't wait. Pls Samsung, I want a lapdock to go with your latest mobile!

This setup is pretty portable and you can chuck them all inside your backpack or a laptop bag. You don't actually have to use them all. If you just want a quick setup, you can just take out your phone and the keyboard.

Of course, it's still a phone and you can use it like any other phone out there. But, if you're going to work a while on that presentation or a little video editing of your latest adventure, you'll gonna need that portable monitor, mouse, and keyboard. If you're bored, take out that game controller and start real console gaming on the go!
